BLPArts Billboards
Welcome to BLPArts collaborative, a joint effort coupling Lafayette College’s Community Based Teaching Program, Belvidere High School and Phillipsburg High School art programs. Each year a select group of students enter an advanced “for-credit” art program at Lafayette College’s Williams Visual Arts Building in Easton, PA. The program culminates in a final project. This year, BLPArts has been given a very generous donation of five billboards in the Phillipsburg, NJ & Easton, PA area by Adams Outdoor Advertising. For the past three months students have worked in concert to design billboards that convey social, aesthetic , and personal concerns and observations. Perhaps you have seen the billboards on the road. Perhaps you are seeing them here for the first time. Each of these works are intended to encourage dialog, and here, we have created a platform for public response. We hope you join us in a spirited and honest conversation about the things that our high school students of today find relevant. Please let us know which billboard you are referring to in your comments and thanks for your responsible engagement. *We thank Adams Outdoor Advertising for the extremely generous donation, effort and support.
